bridle veil falls
quite the scene
These falls are approximately 35 feet high with a gorgeous full cascade that you can explore behind as well.
Depending on the season and how full the natural pool from the falls are you can take a dip in it as well.
We took the metal stairs from the parking lot down to the falls. There are several vantage points from the stairs for a great view and photo opportunities. Continue to the bottom to explore the falls full splendour.
There is a secondary parking lot further down highway 540 that is more accessible and takes you along a short trail to the falls.
Along the paths we spotted some poison ivy so please be vigilant in watching where you explore.
Also I highly recommend some water shoes if you plan on exploring around the falls as the rocks were sharp and slippery. We managed without but exploring would have been much easier with them on.
After hiking the Cup and Saucer we needed to reload our energy with some much needed food and refreshment. A quick stop at the Riverside Takeout Stand was a convenient pitstop before heading to the falls. There is an ice cream stand there as well and picnic tables are an added bonus.
One of the parking lots for the falls is directly across the street and has washrooms there as well.
